It only seems like yesterday that I started this blog and not long after started my Masters. Guess what, after two and a half years the Masters is finished. I feel a sense of accomplishment and relief. I'm not sure what the outcome will be in terms of putting it to use, but I'm hopeful that it will come in handy at some stage. It looks like I'll be continuing to teach at my current school for another year. There was a period of time when we were tossing up a few options for the next year including testing the waters in a different location, experimenting in mission and ministry. It looks like Tim will pursue a little more study first and head to bible college in the new year so that he can be equipped for full time ministry. In the meantime I'll keep things ticking over and try to make the most of opportunities that I'm presented with here.
I've decided to stay .8 despite finishing the study (this was decided before Tim decided to go back to study), it was a really smart decision for my physical and mental health and it will also give me an opportunity to pursue other ministry and mission opportunities.
I feel like 2011 could be the beginning of a new phase in our lives, with more time invested in the things that count. I want to be able to live a radical and different life and while sometimes that seems like it would be easier to do elsewhere (developing country or outback Australia) the challenge is to live a radically different life here and now.
Happy New Year!
